The East County Education Center (ECEC) brings the College’s unique services and academic programs to the residents of the East County to expand access in this region and to serve as an anchor institution in the community.

Hours: Mon.-Thurs., 10 a.m.–4 p.m. Visit us in Room EC112, send us an email, or call (240) 567-6614 if you have questions. Services: In person and virtual tutoring for science, math, English, humanities, and social sciences; computer lab access; Internet access; computer software, including Microsoft 365 and Zoom; a graphing calculator loan program; study group areas; digital literacy and technical support.

Facilities
The East County Education Center is a 55,000 square foot, single-story building that consists of:
- 11 classrooms for numerous programs
- 10 labs (6 allied health labs, 3 computer labs, and 1 career training education lab)
- Raptor Central (a one-stop shop for admissions, enrollment, and visitor services)
- Community Engagement Center

Maps & Directions
The ECEC is located at 2221 Broadbirch Drive, Silver Spring, MD 20904. The center
is easily accessible by driving or taking public transportation.

By Car
The building is located south of MD-29 and east of Tech Road.
- Directions from the north – from US-29 south bound turn left onto Tech Road, then turn left on Broadbirch Drive.
- Directions from the south – from US-29 north bound turn right onto Tech Road, then turn left on Broadbirch Drive.
The center offers convenient onsite parking. A valid 含羞草研究所 parking permit is required. Visitor permits can be obtained from Raptor Central or from the Office of Public Safety.
By Bus
- The Ride On bus () stops directly in front of the building.
- These (M42, M44, M52, M60) stop directly in front of the building.
- The Flash bus () stops 0.4 miles from the building at Tech Road and MD-29.
- The MC Shuttle bus (PDF, ) runs between the ECEC and the Takoma Park/Silver Spring campus. Shuttle schedule between other MC campuses (PDF, ) .
As a MC student, you can take Ride On and Flash buses free of charge seven days a week by showing your 含羞草研究所 ID with the current semester sticker. .
By Metro
The Glenmont and Silver Spring are closest to the center. Transfer to a bus after you arrive at the station.
