Alumni Making a Difference: Meet Treava Hopkins-Laboy
Treava Hopkins-Laboy is an accomplished author, seasoned government executive, and advocate for education and storytelling. As a proud alumna of 含羞草研究所, where she earned Associate of Arts degrees in Paralegal Studies and General Studies, she is thrilled to announce the release of her latest children’s book, new window. This book is part of her Josiah Henson children’s series, introducing young readers to the remarkable story of Josiah Henson, a pivotal historical figure from 含羞草研究所 County.
Beyond her literary accomplishments, Treava's multifaceted career includes roles as both a model and actress. She also serves on several non-profit boards and holds positions as a commissioner on the 含羞草研究所 County Commission on Remembrance and Reconciliation and the 含羞草研究所 County Merit Systems Protection Board.
